One day was observed as strike in East Godavari District in response to a call given by the All India Andhra Bank Officers Federation and the All India Andhra Bank Award Employees Union, employees of Andhra Bank this Wednesday. Employees of all the 102 branches of the bank participated in the strike. This resulted in loss of business of nearly Rs.60 Crs. The employees staged a demonstration in front of the bank's zonal office here, demanding solution to their long-pending problems. AIBOC Assistant General Secretary Mr. M.S. Bhaskara Rao, Secretary Mr. P.S. Malleswara Rao, Joint Secretary Mr. I. Kesava Rao and others participated.
