The district-wide Olympic Run will be conducted on 22nd of June, 2013. According to this, the District Olympic Association has released the wall posters of this run, here on Thursday, at Ideal College in Kakinada. Association President Mr. Y.D.Ramarao, Olympic Run Convenor Dr. Chiranjeevini Kumari and Association Members Mr. Y.Tatabbai, Mr. Sparjan Raju, Mr. Varma participated in the program. Speaking on this, they stated that the motto of this run is to create awareness on public about the importance of games & sports. Every year, this run is being conducted on 23rd of June, but this year due to it is Sunday, it is decided to conduct on 22nd of June, they announced. 'On the occasion of 20th Anniversary of the Association, the run is being conducted in 20 mandals in the district. The run will be conducted on Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Razole, Kothapeta, Tuni, Samalkot, Pithapuram, Jaggampet, Kirlampudi, Divili, Gollaprolu, Malikipuram, Mandapeta, Pedhapuram, Tallarevu, Ramachandrapuram, Rampachodavaram, Annavaram & G.Mamidada mandals by the association on the same day', they added. This run will be started at Morning 7.30 AM at District Sports Ground in Kakinada, by the Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad, here. The Association called the public to participate in this run and make it successful.
