A 70-year-old woman died on the spot near Kakinada Port here on Monday. The victim was identified as Pola Chandravathi, a native of Yetimoga. According to the Kakinada Port police, Chandravathi came to her daughter's house and was on her way to AMG School in the morning to participate in the community lunch program. When she was crossing the road, a vehicle hit her, which killed her on the spot. The vehicle driver absconded.
