Kakinada, Mar 5th: Hot cooking oil was thrown on the face of young women by a man for refusing his marriage proposal. The incident took place at Chendurti village in Gollaprolu Mandal. In this oil attack women sustained severe injuries on face and shoulders. She was admitted in the Prathipadu government hospital for treatment. Doctors declared that 30% of her body sustained severe injuries.
According to the police, the girl Chinnari (18) is a resident of Chendurti village. Raghu Babu who was a resident of same village and class mate of chinnari used to harass her to accept his love. Chinnari was not interested in his proposal and said the same to Raghu Babu. Enraged by this, Raghu Babu threw hot cooking oil on the face of Chinnari on Wednesday night when she was sleeping.
The victim lodged complaint against Raghu Babu with police on Thursday. Chinnari alleged to take severe action on him. She also alleged that due to the harassment of accused she was forced to leave studies and asked the police to help her continue her studies. Police are investigating the case.
