Kakinada, Mar 9^th: East Godavari district collector, Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi and district superintendent of police, Mr. Y. Nagi Reddy directly interacted with the voters and enquired about the threats from anti-social elements, rowdy sheeters and others threatening them to participate in voting. They assured the voters that all the primary precautions for the smooth conduct of polls including the identification of sensitive areas were taken by them and asked the voters to exercise their franchise without any fear. To look over the arrangements in the polling stations both the officials visited several places in Kakinada rural and Pithapuram Assembly constituencies on Monday.

They examined all the arrangements and gave necessary directions to the official belonging to revenue and police. They directed the staff to remove unauthorized holdings and flexi boards. They also asked to identify the unauthorized vehicles that will be touring for publicity. They enquired from the voters about the photo identity cards and asked them to apply for the same before March 15 if they did not receive the identity cards till now. Mr. P. Krishna Rao, returning officer of Pithapuram constituency, Mr. Saikrishna, Pithapuram tahsildhar Mrs. Lakshmi Kumari and other were along with the two officials.
