Kakinada, April 6th: Some objections were raised by the congress, BJP and MRPS leaders over the nationality of the Praja Rajyam Party candidate, Mr. Chalamalasetti Sunil. Mr. Sunil filed his nomination as a PRP candidate on April 4 for the Kakinada parliament seat. With the objection raised by the other parties, the nomination of Mr. Sunil was kept in abeyance by the East Godavari District collector, Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi due to need of some supporting documents proving his nationality.
It is said that Mr. Sunil has UK citizenship and has no right to contest in elections. Congress advocate, Mr. Ravi Shankar submitted documents to the collector seeking the disqualification of Mr. Sunil. Collector asked the advocate of Mr. Sunil to submit the Documents proving the nationality by Tuesday 11 am. He said that the final decision will be take only after going through the support documents given by the advocate.
