National Services Scheme (NSS) is to be amplified more in Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Kakinada. In the field of university, among 8 districts 20,000 members will be selected and they are planning to arrange 200 units. At present, they are only 30 units in university. In this occasion, 1st meeting of JNTU-K NSS advisory committee was held in conference hall this Tuesday. University Coordinator M.Nageswarao (President of the committee) arranged this meeting. Chief guest Prof.Allam Apparao said that NSS helps youth for developing social servicing nature in them. Training for NSS program officers will be provided in the university and for this special center will be arranged very soon he added. Central Government Regional Center Assistant Project Officer Mr.K.Rajendran (Hyderabad) advised that number of NSS units must be increased. Proposal for necessary financial assistance must be sent he added. State Government NSS Liaison Officer G.Bhaskarao (Hyderabad) said “India will be enriched, once every student gives preference to programs on social services”.
