A weeklong service camp of volunteers of the National Service Scheme (NSS) of Aditya Degree College was inaugurated at Kaikavolu village of Pedapudi mandal on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, Kakinada Revenue Divisional Officer, Mr. G.C. Kishore Kumar stressed the need for inculcating the practice of social service among the students. He said that the concept of social service was very popular in many developed countries and such service camps would help the volunteers share knowledge and ideas. Secretary of the Aditya Educational Institutions, Mr. N. Krishna Deepak Reddy said such program would bring harmony among students and make them understand the problems. College principal B.E.V.L. Naidu, NSS program officers U. Srinivasa Rao, T. Tejeswara Rao and others were present.
