Tahasildar of Kakinada village, Mr. Ponnamanda Srinivas sent notice to seize the Nikhil Oil Refineries located at Suryaraopeta. As already in news, 30 people fell ill due to ammonia gas leakage here on Monday. Health condition of 3 workers is also quite serious. Collector appointed a committee of 3 members to investigate the reasons behind the leakage. In the final report, they stated that minimum safety precautions were not taken to control the situation. According to the orders passed by RDO Kishore Kumar, Tahalsidar Srinivas, RI Durga Prasad sent notice to Nikhil Oil Refineries to close according to Section 133. This order stated that the oil refinery should not commence any further activities until future orders are sent.
