"Noble Peace" prize to Ahtissari

Finnish former president Martti Ahtissari(71)  was named as the Noble Peace Prize winner for his contribution in mediating the conflicts for the zones ranging from Kosovo to Indonesia. He was putting efforts form nearly 3 decades in resolving the international conflicts.

     From past few years Ahtissari name was listed in the prize winners but at last he was announcled for this year Noble Peace Prize winner. He solved the conflicts peacefully in the year 2005 and also put his effort in brining independence to Kosanova. He failed in brining the joint deal between Serbia, Kosavo and Pristina.

     Ahtissari worked as a lecturer in the beginning of his career later in 1973 he was appointed as the ambassador for Tamjania. In 1990 he worked for bringing independence to Namibia later in 1994 he was elected as a member of “Social Democratic Party”

     Head of the Norwegian Noble Committee, Ole Danbolt Mjoes said that Ahtissari will receive Noble appreciation award, noble medal and cash prize of 6.81 crores on December 10th.
