District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad has stated that the scheme to pay domestic cooking gas (LPG) consumers cash subsidy has extended upto 31st of December, 2013. Yesterday, she has conducted a review meeting with respective officials on this, at her camp office in Kakinada. Speaking on this, she noticed that the consumers should complete their Aadhar seeding process by 31st of December to get the subsidy or else they will loose it. She remembered that only 68% of consumers from the district are completed the aadhaar seeding process. So she asked the bankers to complete it soon for all those remaining. 'If any consumer having two gas connections with the same name and also not completed their Aadhaar seeding, then one of their gas connection should be cancelled', she instructed to the officials. Around Rs.39 crores of Gas subsidy amount has been deposited to the consumers bank accounts in the district, she announced. She called upon the consumers to utilise the helpline centers that are arranged at gas agencies for Aadhaar seeding process. Joint Collector Mr. Mutyala Raju, DSO Mr. Ravi Kiran, LDM Mr. Jagannadha Swamy, Agriculture Dept JD Prameela and others participated in the program.
