Kakinada, Nov 30th: District collector Gopala Krishna Dwivedi has ordered the Municipal and Mandal officers to issue the pensions to the eligible persons by first of every month. He asked them not to make delay in issuing the pensions and make sure that all the persons who are eligible should receive the pensions without any fail.
A meeting was held in this regard on Sunday at Collector camp office in which Mandal and Municipal officers took part. Speaking on the occasion Collector said that they were receiving many complaints to the grievance cell regarding the pensions and the delay in issuing them. After the release of documentation regarding the issue of 500 Rs to the Physically Handicapped people, the Government will consider the same. .
He asked the Municipal officers to cross check the list of pensioners in the villages and the Mandal officers in their corresponding wards. “Any disturbance in issuing the pensions will be considered, and serious action will be taken on the officers”, he added.
Collector said that, the government has decided to issue Smart Cards to the pensioners including the scholarships to the students so that the misuse of the money does not take place. Already this process has been regularized in many districts and will start in East Godavari District very soon.
