Abhyudaya Foundation is celebrating a 9 Day music, dance and cultural festival ‘Sampradaya Sanskritika Vaibhavam' for the third consecutive year from 4th January. The cultural events will be held at Suryakala Mandiram at 6pm every day. Chairman of the foundation Badam Madhava Rao, at a press conference here on Thursday, said that the objective of the programme was to highlight the rich cultural heritage of the land. The nine-day event would begin with ‘Nama Sankeertana' by Chennai-based Udayallore Kalyanaram Bhagavatar and troupe on 4th January. Sarvepalli Madhavilatha and troupe would perform ‘Kumara Sambhavam' Kuchipudi ballet on 5th January and flute and violin jugalbandi by Ronu Manjudar and Manjunath on January 6. Kuchipudi dance ballet by Madhavapeddi Murthy and troupe would be performed on 7th January and Rajesh Vaidya and troupe would perform fusion music concert. The foundation would present ‘Abhyudaya Sahiti Awards' to note Telugu writers ‘Ampasayya' Naveen and A.S. Jagannadha Sarma at 10am on 9th January, which would be followed by a ‘Kavisammelanam' and release of book titled ‘Akella Aaru Natikalu,' besides the performance of Bharatanatyam and Odyssey by Vaishnavi Sainath in the evening. Mr. Madhava Rao said that Goreti Venkanna and troupe would perform ‘Janapada Geya Vaibhavam' on 10th January and Malladi Brothers would recite ‘Utsava Sampradaya Keertanalu' on 11th January. Sowmya and troupe would culminate the programme in recital of vocal music on 12th January, he explained. The entry is free to all the programmes.
