State Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Bhanwarlal has stated that the new voters enrollment program will be conducted from 1st to 31st of October, 2013 in the District. Yesterday, along with the Central Deputy Election Commissioner Mr. Vinodh, he has conducted a video conference meet with the District Collector & Joint Collector here. Speaking on this, he noticed the officials that the vote right should be provided to every individual who crossed 18yrs of their age in the District. He reviewed about the details of the District Voters and Polling centers in this meet. Later, the Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad has informed that there are around 34,15,134 voters in the District. She said 91,043 new voters are enrolled, out of which 3600 applications were cancelled due to some officials reasons. So that now remaining 19,024 applications are in pending, she added. A total 3,907 polling centers are existing in the District and newly 54 more polling centers are being arranged. However, 106 centers are going to be changed, she added. Joint Collector Mr. Mutyala Raju, Sub Collector Mr. Gandham Chandrudu, DRO Mr. Yadagiri, RDO and others participated in the meeting.
