Hyderabad, June 4th: A new swine flu case was detected in the city on Thursday. A software engineer belonging to Hyderabad who returned from Philadelphia via London tested positive for swine flu yesterday. This is the third swine flu case detected in the city since the cases stated reporting. The 28 year old victim went to Philadelphia on an official tour in March and returned to Hyderabad on May 31.
Though he had no symptoms at the airport quarantine, he developed the symptoms later. The patient was referred to AP Chest Hospital. His throat swab samples were sent to National Institute of Communicable diseases in New Delhi. The medical reports confirmed that he was suffering from Swine flu. Till now six cases have been reported in the country of which three are from the city. Meanwhile four new suspected cases were also reported.
