New port railway station is available for passengers from today. After long period of construction with a budget of Rs.35 Crores, it will be in use from 11am morning. Station Manager, Mr. Srinivas Rao stated that passenger trains to Vishakapatnam, Vijayawada and Tirupathi have been departed from old port railway station for today. However, passenger trains will be also departing from this new Sambamurthy Nagar Port Railway Station from Tuesday, he added. He addressed that passengers should notice these changes. In order to overcome crowd, special trains between Kakinada-Hyderabad has also been arranged by Southern Central Railway Department. These special trains will be available on 24th, 25th and 26th December from 9pm at Port Railway station, he added. Railway officers stated that passengers must make use of this opportunity.
