Kakinada, Jan 9th: A new building constructed for planning department was inaugurated by the union minister of state for defence Mr. Pallam Raju. The program took place on Friday at district collectorate. The building was newly constricted with a cost of 50 lakh to accommodate the East Godavari planning department.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Pallam Raju forecasted about the advantages of establishing the building in the collectorate premises. He asked the concerned officers to complete the pending works in the department as soon as possible. Mr. Gollapalli Surya Rao, ZP chief, Mr Ch. Srinivas Venugopala Krishna, Collector, Joint collector and others participated.
Rajiv cricket tourney inauguration:
Mr.Pallam Raju has also inaugurated the Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Cricket Tournament on Friday at JNTU college grounds. The tournament is being organized by District Youth Congress. The opening celebrations were organized in a grand way. Speaking on the occasion minister has appreciated the Youth congress president Mr. M. Venkata Surya mohan Rao , for organizing the tourney under the name of Former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi.
Minister said that organizing of such activities is needed for the physical fitness. Later Minister Pallam Raju and Gollapalli Surya Rao have initiated the program with batting under the bowling of ZP Chairman Venu and MLA Bulliabbai Reddy. PCC correspondent Bonam Bhaskar, town congress president Pora Ramu, Sunkara Vidya Sagar and many more took part in the program.
