Kakinada, Dec 15th: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada is going to start new B.Tech courses from next academic year to the students who were appearing for 2009 EAMCET. The courses include Agriculture and Disaster management. With the changing needs of agriculture production the university has taken this decision.
Mr. G. Ravibabu, state additional commissioner for disaster and Dr S. Chellappa, state principal secretary for agriculture has agreed to extend their help for starting these courses. They agreed to provide necessary assistance to the university relating to subjects of the courses and the necessary equipment for the courses.
The university felt that, with the new courses more technologies can be applied to agriculture for better crop yield and less financial investment. Disaster management also helps the people and provides better assistance during the time of natural calamities. Mr. Chellappa felt to start new courses in Horticulture and Sericulture so as to cater to the needs of changing agriculture.
