Need of technical knowledge in development of agriculture

Kakinada, Feb 20th: Mr. Allam Apparao, vice chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada has revealed the need of technical knowledge in development of agriculture. A two day symposium on National Technical awareness was organized at the department of computer sciences in JNTU on Friday. Mr. Apparao attended as the chief guest for the program. He did Jyothiprajwalana and initiated the program. The program was organized under the chairmanship of Computer Science HOD Mrs. Neelima.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Apparao revealed the need of technical knowledge in development of agriculture for driving the country towards progress. “The country can enjoy the fruitful results with the implementation of latest techniques”, he said. He alleged that there was a huge need to bring changes in the field of agriculture by lending the cooperation from young engineers. He said that the engineers have a crucial role to play in the research and application of soil management techniques and integrated water management.

 

Professor of Andhra University, Mr. P. Srinivasa Rao also presided over the meeting. Speaking on the occasion he said that organizing of such work shops bring technical awareness among the students and also helps to motivate them towards the development. College principal, E.V Prasad, vice principal Prasad Raju and others spoke.
