NCC national unity camp

Kakinada, June 25th: The NCC (National Cadet Corps) will organize a special national integration camp in the month of September at Kakinada for development of leadership skills among youth. Cadets from all over the country will take part in the camp which is being hosted by the NCC, AP directorate.

 

The Deputy Director General (DDG), H.J Walia told press persons here on Thursday that the NCC had proved itself as a dynamic organization with discipline and dedication, and ready to rise to the call of the nation. He also said that the ministry of defense and the director general of NCC were asked to allot additional vacancies to Andhra Pradesh to accommodate more students.

 

“Due to lack of infrastructure facilities in the some schools, NCC was not made compulsory from school-level”, said Air Cdr. Walia. The DDG hoped for additional resources and support soon. The total number of NCC cadets in the country was set to reach 15 lakh from the present 13 lakh but facilities required to train them were not available.
