Kakinada, Jan 19th: As a part of Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP), Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University is going to start a joint research activity with Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA). The work shop on Research Initiatives was organized by JNTU at Rangaraya Medical College Auditorium on Monday. JNTU Vice Chancellor Allam Apparao attended as the chief guest for the program. The main aim of the joint activity is to lay emphasis on the research based teaching along with the normal education.kkj
Speaking on the occasion Vice Chancellor revealed the need for constant upgrading of skills so as to with stand in the present competition. He said that the idea of university was not only to teach but also to discover. He asked the students to inculcate both the features so as to excel in their career. He also felt that organizing of such workshops will generate enthusiasm in the students and help them to develop their skills. Dr Ranjit Sen, general secretary of ISCA was the special chief guest for the occasion. Speaking to the media persons he said that, the joint collaboration was an effort to bring the scientific nourishment. University Register V. Ravindra also took part in the program.
