The eve of the National Sports Day, various sports competitions were conducted in Kakinada sports ground this Sunday. District Sports Development Officer (D.S.D.O) Mr. R.Ravi started these competitions formally. Referring to Sportsperson, Mr.Ravi said that participation is more important than winning. He said that National Sports Day is being celebrated to mark Dyaan Chand’s Birth Anniversary. Every sportsperson must be inspired by Dyaan Chand who expertised in hockey as sports. Volleyball, Basketball, Kho-Kho, Kabbadi, Weight Lifting, Hockey, Swimming, Gymnastics and other competitions were conducted. More than 300 sportsperson participated in these competitions. In this program, Former DSDO SV Ramana, Coaches Ravi Raj, Satish Kumar, Satyanarayana, Nagendra and others participated.
