Principal Secretary of Higher and Technical Educational Council, Mr. C.R. Biswal said that Rs.2000 crores arrears of fee reimbursement were paid and the report for the current year was yet to be received. A monitoring development meeting presided over by Vice Chancellor of JNTU-K, Prof. Allam Apparao was held at JNTU-K Campus here on Saturday afternoon. Mr. Biswal strongly refused the reason behind death of Vara Lakshmi in Hyderabad was not due to Management’s harassment. She did not apply for scholarship in time; therefore, she did not receive her scholarship he added. Prof. Apparao brought the troubles faced by the lecturers to the notice of Government. Problems like lecturers working in private colleges are only receiving salaries for 10 months and other two months salaries were neglected. He requested to look at this situation with the permission from Government. Earlier, Vice chancellor welcomed with Mr. Biswal and Chairman of Higher Educational Council, Mr. Prakash Reddy with State emblem of Andhra [Purnakumbham]. Mr. Prakash participated in the inaugural function of Nagavalli Ladies Hostel and Mr. Biswal inaugurated the new blocks in Computer Science Department. In this program, Rector Dr.K.Satya Prasad, Registrar V.Ravindra, Director Prasad Raju and others participated.
