Mutta Gopala Krishna released on bail

Kakinada, April 15th: Sitting MLA and contesting independent candidate from Kakinada city constituency, Mr. Mutta Gopala Krishna, was arrested and released on bail on Wednesday. Mr. Gopala Krisha was arrested for violating the code of conduct and later released on bail after producing in the court. Police arrested him on the charges of storing cricket bats and balls in his cinema theater (Swapna). Nearly 149 cricket bats and 168 cricket balls were seized by the police.

 

Gopala Krishna said that the cricket bats and balls stored by him are dummy and he kept them only as a mark of symbol that was assigned to him. The four time winner of Kakinada assembly constituency was contesting as independent candidate in the elections as the congress denied him the ticket. This time the party cadre preferred Dwarampudi Chandra Shekar Reddy.
