The mystery behind the murder of RTO Late Nelli Verrayya Naidu has been solved at last. Police declared that the reason behind his death is beenami assets. In the 28 days long police investigation, the mystery was solved on Thursday. The accused was affirmed as Gowtam Kumar, Son of Verraya Naidu’s own brother Pallarao. DSP Lakshmi Narayana presented him before media people and said he was traced with the help of mobile phone. They possessed Rs.7 Lakhs worth jewellery and Rs.65,000 cash. The mystery behind this murder was revealed in a press note released by DSP Lakshmi Narayana here at II-Town police station. Verrayya Naidu, resident of Venkat Nagar was murdered on 8th night of last month at his own residence. There was a letter left near the crime scene with a note “I will also kill your brother in the same way”. However, Police investigated the case and according to the cell phone CMIE number, the accused was caught. When Gowtam Kumar was questioned, he said that binami assets were the only reason for which he did this. Verriya Naidu asked to write 3.7 Acres of land in Uppudi and other 2.60 acres land on the name of his daughter. Due to this, Gowtam Kumar planned to murder Naidu. Gowtam was working as Software Engineer in Chennai. However, Gowtam left to Chennai on 8th, by Circar Express to make all his relatives believe. But he reached Rajahmundry and returned back to Kakinada on 8th evening. He reached to Verriya Naidu’s house on 8th night, and  attacked with  the Rice Pestle on his head, and killed him. He had also stolen Jewellery and cash. Later, he reached Vishakapatnam through bus and went to Chennai on 10th March. He also attended the Cremation ceremony, as if he was not involved in the murder. He also removed his SIM card from his mobile for 15 days after the murder and started using it after 15 days. With the help of this, according to the orders passed by SP Janardhan, Town CI Ch.Ravi Kanth, II-Town Inspector Mahendra, Constables Nirmala Kumar, Satyanarayana and others caught him. Pallarao, Father of Gowtam Kumar was also arrested as he supported in this murder.
