Kakinada, Mar 4th: Former Lok Sabha member and Kapu Nadu leader, Mr. Mudragada Padmanabam revealed his interest to contest in Assembly elections by joining congress party. Speaking to the medial persons on Tuesday, Mr. Padmanabam declared that he was going to contest from Pithapuram Constituency as a congress candidate. After his defeat in 2004 elections, Mr. Padmanabam kept himself off from active politics and now again he declared his re-entry into politics.
Previously Mr. Padmanabam used to contest from Prathipadu constituency. Political analysts express their surprise over the decision of Mr. Padmanabam about contesting from pithapuram constituency by leaving his home constituency this time. This re-entry was expected by many of the congress members into the party during the time of Y.S Raja Shekar Reddy visit to Dharmavaram to lay foundation stone for Yeluru reservoir.
