Kakinada, Dec 8th: The Andhra University post graduation center in Kakinada suburbs is likely to get the university status very soon. Speaking to the mediapersons university vice-chancellor Prof. B. Satyanarayana declared this on Monday.
He said that the number of present universities will increase from 350 to 1,300 with this proposal. Nearly 100 colleges will be coming under one university with the changing needs of administration.
Professor said that lot of demand has been increased to the orientation courses like financial services, animation, hotel and tourism management courses. University has first planned to establish this feature in Nannayya University, Rajahmundry. Due to lack of proper land in Rajahmundry the idea has shifted to Kakinada.
“Already Gitam’s at Visakhapatnam and PG center at Srikakulam were given the university status. The Kakinada MSN post graduation center will also get such an opportunity”, he added.
