Kakinada, Feb 25th: Activists of Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) has intensified the dharna. Demanding the government for SC Categorisation and to make efforts to introduce the Categorisation bill in the winter session of the parliament the activists staged dharna at few of the government offices here on Wednesday. Besides this the activists has also laid seize to the house of central defense minister Mr. Pallam Raju. They also organized demonstrations at few of the places in the district.
Initially on Wednesday morning the activists turned in huge numbers and reached municipal guest house and blocked the same. From there the activists tried to intensify the dharna. On hearing the news the police and the security forces became alert and arranged police security at collectorate and few of the government offices. Activists who reached the government offices were clogged by the police in entering the offices.
Raising slogans against the government the activists sat before the offices and tried to block the offices from outside. From there nearly 200 MRPS leaders and activists organized a rally at main road and tried to seize the congress party office and the house of Mr. Pallam Raju. But police Intervened and thwarted their attempt. The agitation continued till 6pm. MRPS district president Kondepudi Syambabu, Valluri Satyavathi, K. Uday Kumar, and huge number of activists participated.
