Hyderabad, Dec 21 : Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal, who went had fled from a Vijayawada hospital, has been located at Nizam's Institute of Sciences (NIMS) hospital here Monday afternoon. His return to NIMS was as dramatic as his escape from Vijayawada hospital. Anti-Telangana leader Rajagopal was on an indefinite hunger strike for the past nine days, was arrested and admitted to Vijayawada hospital.

The leader standing for 'United Andhra' refused all medical assistance and escaped in a car waiting outside the hospital last night. However, Monday afternoon, wearing a black T-shirt and jacket, Rajagopal got down from an autorickshaw outside NIMS and ran into a ward to get admitted.

Rajagopal's escape from hospital had led to the suspension of five Vijayawada police officers, on charges on negligence of duty.  Andhra Chief Minister K Rosaiah held a meeting with his ministers on the missing MP Monday morning, while Rajagopal's wife said she planned to approach the Andhra High court to demand that the politician be produced before law.
