Rajavommangi, Aug 7th: The East Godavari collector, Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi assured additional medical facilities in agency area within a week. He visited the local PHC and girijan welfare hostel on Friday as part of the weekly Pallebata program. Speaking to the media persons, collector revealed that the first batch of medical teams would reach the agency within a week and the second batch by next week.
In addition, an officer of deputy collector rank and another in the rank of additional district medical and health officer will be appointed for effective monitoring of medical services, he added. The services of 108 ambulance will be extended to these areas, Mr. Dwevedi said. The collector also assured of supplies of medicines and it will be met outside the budget allocation if the situation warrants. The collector also directed local authorities to provide employment to poor farmers under NREGS.
