In the purview of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada, some more additional colleges will be started very soon. With the assistance from other universities, Professional Educational Technical Universities will be linked with JNTU-K and orders have been passed by Chief Secretary of State Higher Education department. As JNTU-K is known for its capability of excellent teaching skills in technical education and conducting examinations, government took this decision. At present, from Srikakulam to Prakasam district there are total 252 colleges affiliated to JNTU-K which includes Engineering, MBA, and B. Pharmacy colleges. According to recent orders passed, all universities in purview with JNTU-K including Engineering, MBA, MCA, B.Pharmacy will be merged with JNTU-K. Then the number will reach to 325 colleges which are affiliated to university.
