Monsoons likely to hit the state in 2 days

Hyderabad, June 25th: According to the metrological department, monsoons are likely to hit the state in two to three days. This will be a good relief to the farmers that are waiting for rains for their Kharif plantations. Meteorologist of IMD department, Mr. M. Satya Kumar said that the monsoons will hit the state in two days and the effect is likely to be more in coastal regions. The climate will be dry in Telangana and Rayalaseema regions. There are also symptoms of forming depression in Bay of Bengal with in next 24 hours.

 

A meeting of agriculture secretaries of states that have not received any rains including Maharastra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Bihar, Jarkand and others has been convened on Thursday to take stock of the situation arising out of the delayed monsoon. The meeting was organized under the chairmanship of the agricultural secretary for center, Mr. T. Nanda Kumar. Issues pertaining to the delayed monsoons and the steps to be taken to overcome the circumstances were discussed.
