Monsoons got delayed due to Aila

Hyderabad, May 29th: The Southwest monsoon which was expected to enter the state three days ago got delayed due to the formation of Alia in Bay of Bengal. It has put brakes on the advance of the monsoon into Andhra Pradesh. According to the meteorologist of the Hyderabad Meteorologist center, Mr. G. Subba Rao there was no signs for the advance of monsoon till Friday. The southwest monsoons advanced till Monday and remained subdued when Aila began to form.

 

Sweltering heat continues in AP. In fact the weather man issued a heat wave warning in Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal and Medak. The city recorded a maximum temperature of 42C on Friday and the temperature is likely to continue for two more days. The highest temperature of 45C was recorded at Adilabad and Rentachintala. The days began to get cooler in coastal AP and the metrological department also predicted some rain over coastal Andhar Pradesh and Rayalaseema.
