Modifications in Semesters-JNTU-K

JNTU Engineering University, Kakinada is planning to introduce few modifications from this academic year.Mainly they have decided to introduce semesters for 1st year students from now.At present students who completed there intermediate and joined engineering college are coming under pressure and are unable to top in there academics.Due to backlogs in 1st year it is later affecting second year academics also.Therefore in order to provide comfortable education to students from this year these changes in semester will be introduced.
Related to this District wise principals, educational experts of various colleges had a gathering to consider individuals opinions. Mr.Satyaprasad, kakinada JNTU Director of valuation addressed to news today that Irrespective of the branches common subjects will be introduced to all 1st year students which includes chemistry,social ethics,history of science and technology. As of now total credits for1st year students are 56 and from now it will be 36 credits of which 18 credits for each semester will be allotted. There is also a proposal that students who are regular to college will be given additional marks at the end of their academic year. Minimum of  75% attendance is required for a student but yet to decide whether more than 75% or 90% attendance must be taken into consideration.
