Mock counting work reviewed

Kakinada, May 3rd: Mock counting process was organized at various counting centers in Kakinada on Sunday. East Godavari District collector, Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi reviewed the mock counting and data entry process organized at local V.S. Lakshmi College on that day. He directed the officials to strictly follow the guidelines of election commission during the counting process on May 16. He ordered the returning officer to make all arrangement for entering the poll date online with out any disturbances. Mock counting was held to asses the time required for updation of results to the election commission

 

 

Speaking on the occasion collector revealed that 14 counting tables will be arranged at each of the counting centers and the counting for both parliament and assembly segments will be done same time. After completion of each round the details will be entered online simultaneously. Collector also revealed that two computers with internet connection will be arranged at each counting center in addition to the land phone. All the counting centers were arranged with basic amenities to avoid any inconvenience to the counting staff, he added. Returning officer, Mr. Kishore Kumar, Mr. Nataraj, Mr. Ram Murthy, Mr. Rama Krishna and others participated.
