Mobile Courts for Eves cases

Rajahmundry, June 24th: The minister for women and child welfare, Mr Konda Surekha, stated that the state government was contemplating setting up of mobile courts and mobile counseling centers to help solve the problems of the women. The family members were approaching the courts seeking their intervention even for trivial issues within the families resulting in pain and agony to women. To solve such problems and for setting up mobile courts and mobile counseling centers,  proposals were submitted to the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy.

 

Maintaining the discrimination towards girl child and foeticides in tribal areas, the minister called up on the ICDS (Integrated Child Development Scheme) supervisors and anganwadi teachers to bring awareness among the tribal to give up such practices. She also said that her department was going to put forth proposals for setting up a woman police station in every district and a special cell to look after women problems in every mandal level police station.
