Minerals and Metals Trading Corporation Limited (MMTC) is opening its franchisee at Minerals and Metals Trading Corporation Limited in the city on 14th of January. Latha Jewellers, who had their showroom at Main Road, is opening a new outlet ‘Chaitanya Jewellers' near Tamilnad Mercantile Bank to sell gold coins and silver ornaments of ‘Sanchi' brand of the MMTC. City MLA, Mr. D. Chandrasekhara Reddy will inaugurate the showroom and Grandhi Narayana Rao (Babji) will make the first purchase. Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, General Manager of the MMTC, Visakhapatnam, Mr. T.D. Suresh Babu, said that it was going to be the 57th franchisee of the corporation and fourth in Coastal region, where customers could avail an inaugural discount of five per cent on purchase of silver ornaments.
