Kakinada, Feb 4th: With the vacancy caused by the expiry of two year term of Mr. N Shesha Reedy, teacher MLC polls are going to take palace on February 6th. The process of campaigning for the same was concluded here on Wednesday. The elections attained more significance with the entry of political parties by extending their support to the contestants. While the Congress party and Jacto are supporting Mr. Chaitanya Raju, the Telugu Desam party is extending its support to Ch, Subhashchandra Bose belonging to UTF.
Sources reveal that some of the Jacto members are divided over the extension of support as the organization has reversed earlier decision to support Mr. Ijjana Satyanaraya who resigned as headmaster to contest in the elections. On the other hand the UTF is also more confident of Subhaschandra Bose winning the elections has he has support of teachers in addition to his own strength. UTF general secretary, Mr G. Prabhakar Varma said that they have the support of hostel and tribal teachers associations and they were sure of winning the polls this time.
