Kakinada, Dec 9th: The President of the organization and life member of SPCA (Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), Mr V. Ankaraju complained the East Godavari district collector Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwivedi to take action on the concerned officers who have misused the lands and funds for their personal needs.
He complained that, “Ten acres of land was donated to SPCA by Pithapuram Maharaja for the welfare of the animals. The ex-office bearers have occupied 8 acres of land and sold them to outsiders. Due to lack of sufficient land the hundreds of animals are facing problems. Ex-officers have sold the animals too without the permission of the concerned departments”.
Mr Ankaraju said that the present market rate of the land will cost up to 20 crores. He suggested the collector to acquire the money from the ex-officers who have corrupted the land. He asked to take criminal action against the officers and stop them from holding post in any organization that deals with public funds.
