Vizianagaram, July 10th: A physically challenged person, Mr. Aravind Kumar Mishra, 33 who was affected with polio started his mission to educate and create awareness among people about the dreaded disease polio. He is also campaigning with the people in general, youth in particular to donate blood. He undertook a yatra from Puri to Goa on a tricycle and arrived here on Friday.
Mr. Mishra is a BA graduate from Sadabe village of Patna district in Bihar. He said this was his third round of propagation in the country and he was very much satisfied in educating the parents especially in rural areas. Speaking on the occasion, Mishra said that his intention behind the yatra was to make that no other child in the country suffer from polio like him. I want both the center and state governments to further support the challenged in providing employment, he maintained.
Mr. Mishra began his long journey in Puri on November 7, 2008 and already covered Chattisgarh state and some countries in AP from where he will go to Goa after covering Tamil Nadu and Karnataka states, which may take one more year. In the first round he covered villages from Tirupati to Chennai and from Hajaribhagh to Ranchi in his second round of propagation.
