Welfare Association of minorities will be celebrating 11th of November as ‘Minorities Welfare Day’. District Collector, Mr. M Ravi Chandra said this to news line in a statement here on Tuesday. ‘Minorities Welfare Day’ is celebrated on birthday of Maulana Abdul Kalam Muhiyuddin Ahmed (11 November 1888 – 22 February 1958). Maulana Abdul Kalam Muhiyuddin Ahmed was an Indian Muslim scholar and a senior political leader of the Indian independence movement. Celebrations of ‘Minorities Welfare Day’ would be conducted from morning 10am at Macca Madina Function Hall of J.Ramaraopeta, Kakinada he added.
