Ministers console victims

Kakinada, Jan 28th: The minister for Panchayat Raj and incharge minister of East Godavari district, Mr. Botsa Satyanarayana  and the rural water supply minister, Mr. P. Viswaroop called on the victims of illicitly-distilled (ID) liquor at the government general hospital here on Thursday. After enquiring the condition of the victims with the hospital authorities, the minister directed the staff not to discharge any patient till they get cured completely. He further said that four special excise and enforcement teams from Hyderabad reached here and started destroying the brewing centers.

Mr. Viswaroop said that the reports of the blood tests, which were earlier sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory at Hyderabad, would reach here on Friday. Based on the reports, the doctors would decide the condition of the patients and discharge some of them  whose condition turned normal on the same day, he added. The minister further said that the government had already given Rs 5,000 as funeral charges to the kin of each deceased in the tragedy.
