Kakinada, Mar 26th: The 3G mobile services which were till now available in foreign countries were now made in reach of the district people. 3G mobile services of BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) were launched by the Kakinada minister and minister of state for defence, Mr. M.M Pallam Raju here on Friday. The facility said to be first of its kind in the country will be initially available to Kakinada and Rajahmundry people. These services essentially provide online gaming, broad band connectivity, video calling, mobile TV network, music download, video conference, super fast date unloading etc.
Speaking on the occasion, minister lauded the services of BSNL for its efforts of developing the communication technology according to the people needs. He suggested for extending the services to rural masses. BSNL general manager, Mr. G. Raghavendra Rao said that facilities will be available for new and existing customers under prepaid and post paid connections. East Godavari district collector Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi, Kakinada Mayor Ms. K. Saroja was among those present.
