Kakinada, Dec 24th: The minster for social welfare, Mr. Pilli Subash Chandra Bose inaugurated an handloom expo at Pynda Chalamayya Kalyana Mandapam here on Thursday. Minister did jyothiprajwalana and initiated the program. The expo is being organized under the aegis of Apco, which is giving 30 percent discount on all products available in the exhibition.
Speaking on the occasion, minster appealed to the public to wear handlooms and support weavers. He said that to encourage and support the weavers, the government is asking its employees to wear handloom garments every Saturday. Handlooms garments also helps in saving the environment from air, water pollution and thus keeping everyone healthy. City MLA Dwarampudi Chandra Shekar Reddy, Zilla Parishad Chairman Ch. Venugopala Krishna and Apco divisional marketing officer Tilak were present.
