Under-18 & Under-20 Athletic State competitions were conducted at Gachibowli stadium, Hyderabad on 10th and 11th of this month. 6 Sportsmen from our district were selected to participate in state competitions. Few sportsmen achieved medals in these competitions. In Under-20 boys, K.Naresh( 10 k.m Runner) of Kakinada attained 3rd place, Ramakrishna (High Jump) of Athreyapuram attained 2nd place, Gowtham Kumar (200 m Runner) of Kakinada attained 3rd place. In Under-20 girls, D.Nagasatya (Long Jump) of Kakinada attained 1st place. Under-18 boys, Raj Kumar (Pole vault) of Rajol achieved 1st place. It’s proud to announce that after formation of Athletics association, this is the 1st competition held and 5 achieved medals among 6 sportsmen. Mr.K.Padmanabham, Association president and Mr.Chandrakanth, Officer and others congratulated sportsmen on this occasion.
