Kakinada, Jan 30th: For the forth coming SSC examinations that are going to be held in the month of March, the educational department of East Godavari district is taking effective measures for increasing the pass rate in the district. Comparing with the last year pass rate of 77.41% the department is taking measures to increase the pass rate to 85%. Sources reveal that nearly 36,000 students will be appearing for the SSC exams for the year 2009. Out of 36,000 students 28,000 are regular and the others are private candidates.
As a part of effective measures, the educational department is organizing review meetings in Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Amalapuram, Ramachandrapuram and pithapuram divisions. Speaking on the occasion the district educational officer, Mr. P. R. Mallikarjuna Rao revealed that the students of all the schools will be divided into A, B, C and D categories. He said that special attention will be paid on the group C and D students by conducting special classes. He also said that the failures in the languages were also more and special attention will be taken to avoid the same.
