Kakinada, Jan 19th: Effective measures are being taken by the concerned officers for the supply of fertilizers to the farmers for the rabbi crop. Due to the lorry strike organized by the lorry owners associations there was a huge deficiency occurred in the availability of the fertilizers. And also due to Sankranti festival holidays some gap was created in the immediate supply of fertilizers to the standing crops. Keeping this in mind the fertilizers supply companies has raised the cost of the pesticides due to which the farmers are facing problems.
Noticing the urgency Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (NFCL) has distributed 3,000 MT of urea to various destinations on Monday to meet the needs of the farmers. The NFCL authorities have transported the stocks through train wagons from their factory to Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Dwarapudi railway yards. The fertilizers were also dispatched to various destinations by road through trucks.
