Kakinada, April 2nd: Chief election officer, Mr. I.V Subbarao ordered the East Godavari district collector and the district election officer, Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi to take measures for the effective implementation of the poll code and see that no violations takes place during the polls and poll counting. Participating in the video conference organized by him from Hyderabad, he reviewed over various issues relating to polls. They include filing of nominations, voter list and others.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Subbarao revealed that the election authorities are receiving major complaints on political parties about the code violations. He asked the collector to keep a close watch on all the political campaigns and road shows and see that no violations and disturbances take place. Mr. Dwevedi said that after the withdrawal of the nomination 10 candidates were in fray from Ranpachodavaram constituency. And for the second phase of elections on Thursday, 3 candidates nominated for parliament and 28 candidates for Assembly.
