Material on eye donation released

Kakinada, Sep 1st: East Godavari Collector Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwivedi on Tuesday released publicity material on eye donation costing Rs. 50,000 brought out by the District Blindness Control Society (DBCS) and Badam Balakrishna Eye Bank (BBEB).

On the occasion, Mr. Dwivedi complimented BBEB for spreading awareness on eye donation, which would gift vision to the visually impaired. The DBCS was doing its bit to educate people about eye donation and a lot more remained to be done.

BBEB chairman Badam Balakrishna said the publicity material was prepared in connection with the 24th Eye Donation Fortnight. BBEB set up an exhibition stall at Bhanugudi Junction to enable people acquaint them with eye donation, which would be an invaluable gesture to the needy.
