Mass propagation against evils of dowry

Kakinada, June 22nd: The All India Women’s Conference (AIWC) will take to mass propagation against evils of dowry in rural areas. The organization nearly has 550 branches across the country and propagating message on evils of dowry to every nook and corner through its branches. According to the president of the organization, Ms Gomati Nayar, the organization is fighting for the cause of women since 1926.

 

Ms Nayar was here to participate in the centenary celebrations of Dr. Durgabhai Deshmukh, who pioneered for the cause of woman, to be held on June 24. She said that the Union Minister of state for defense, Mr. M.M Pallam Raju, state home minister Ms. Sabita Indra Reddy and others would attend the program.
